Application Technique of Flexypan Jambs
Application technique of Flexypan decorative trimming profiles:
Surface to be applied is measured. Profile whose mounting shall be performed is measured its mitre is taken and is cut off with hand-saw or mitre cutting machine. Adhesion mortar is applied on back surface of profile with toothed trowel according to surface state of façade. System is completed by applying Flexypan repair mortar (special elastic with acrylic base) onto joint places. It is adhered well on the surface with the help of profile float. It is inspected with horizontal and vertical water scale. When required, it is fixed to surface temporarily with the help of concrete nail until adhesion mortar takes plug. Fixing should be made with plug on large profiles. Flexypan repair mortar overflowing from joint places is cleaned with the help of spatula.
Joint places are rubbed with emery after they are dried. Flexypan repair mortar is applied with being thinned on coves and roughness likely to occur on repaired areas with the help of brush. Burrs are removed with the help of emery paper after they are dried.
Matters to be considered in application;
• Application surface should be clean. There should not be any dust, polish, oil and moisture on the surface. If structure is old, it should be cleaned off loose plaster and paint layer.
• Application surface should be scales.
• Application should not be performed under 5 C.
• Mitre instrument must be used in shearing.
• 3 mm clearances should be left on joint places of plates and should be filled with Flexypan repair mortar.
• Flexypan plates should be furnished as zigzag.
• It should be fixed to surface temporarily with the help of concrete nail until adhesion mortar gets frozen.
• Paint to be used should be of high quality.
